Rare Breed Organic Apparel is a Canadian small business, based in Grey County, Ontario, focused on creating art-inspired graphic tees in the most eco-friendly way possible.
Our first sustainable t-shirt collection features illustrations from really old books (mostly from the late 1800's) which we brought into the 21st century with a new spin. It took a year to source and restore the illustrations - they’re often in pretty bad shape to start off with, being 100+ years old. Once the designs were locked in, we conducted test prints with a number of different companies until we found one that could produce a great quality organic t-shirt that still looked great after many washes.
